From masterplan to furniture

SSA Architects aims to provide service a la carte or in full package. From the vision of the site to the fine tuning of the accessories, as design specialist, we can cover the entire mission.

The Master Plan is the design of the overall project defined by its site, the access, the circulation, the function, the soft and the hardscape location. It helps to ensure a functional and well-integrated project where the architecture can be developed.





The Architecture is the design of the buildings. The floor plan, the internal distribution with all functions of the project, the levels and the setting out on the site, the façades, the roofs, the outdoor areas with their respective materials.





The Interior is the design of all interiors finishes of the floors, ceiling, walls, lighting, equipment and all the fixed furniture (wardrobe, kitchen…) and the loose furniture (chairs, tables, sofas…).





The Furniture design is all the custom-made elements of furniture that would be not purchased ready-made. Most of the time, it is tables, sofas, armchairs. It can also be the decorative lighting or any other object where the project requires a special attention.





From sketches to construction details

All the design scope (master plan, architecture, interior, furniture) are split by stages: the concept / the development / the detail / the supervision

The Concept Design is the critical part of the Design. It is where we have the soul of the project with a meaning full story line that lead the project until its completion. The concept Design documents is made of references, sketches, plans, sections, basic dimensions, areas. The ultimate part of the concept design is to express the project with 3d visualization where we can understand the overall project in shapes and colors.





The development Design confirms the concept and freeze all dimensions, levels, finishes. This stage crosses the design with other design consultant in particular with the structural and mechanical engineer. The development stage is completed once all consultants have coordinated the design to ensure a frozen model to be detailed for each department.





development

The Detail Design call out all the project for typical and atypical detail for the builder to perfectly understand the intention of the designer. The set of drawings is combined with detailed list of materials and specifications that covered the mission.





The Architect is not the builder or the project manager, however, there is a necessary follow up during the construction in order to : approve construction drawings, the materials and the equipment, ensure that the construction is following the design and the specification with regular visit and adjust the design according the issue arise during the construction.




